Hey bloggers, I have been away for so long. To be honest though there hasn't been much new music to rave (I actually hate that word at the moment) about. But it seems that the Christmas spirit has got so many producers creating amazing tracks for this year and previews for 2011.
First we have some progressive trance for you with Fafaq - Carimucho. Apparently this Polish DJ's name stands for (Fucking Annoying Frequently Asked Questions) I don't know if this is true though. Carimucho has an awesome tech/progressive buildup, then at about 4:45 it spirals into beautiful true trance beats with excellent synths.
Next I have for you some pretty epic Tech-House called Girl (Mark Simmons Instrumental Mix) by House Guru Yves Larock & Tony Sylla featuring Tara McDonald, but as this is the instrumental mix, no vocals are heard. The Intro is pretty basic but then breaks into awesome synths and excellent piano play. 5 stars, a definite for any type of set or party.
Another house track for you, but this time coming from the legend that is Pete Tong. Teaming up with Paul Rogers again their new track Headstrong is a true crowd pleaser.
Some "Wobble Wobble Wobble" Fidget/Dirty House for you now, hailing from San Bernadino, California. Not much is known about them other than they are called The Gooniees (spelt with two e's) Their track Africa is by far my favourite 10/10 easily. Download Link: The Gooniees - Africa
Now some 80's stylised Synthpop/Disco House Crockett's Theme by Michael Cassette. This is a great rework of the original by Jan Hammer for Miami Vice. Sounds like OVERWERK & Vangelis tracks have just been thrown into a blender. What do you think?
Next we have a track from Alan & Paul, I can't find much information on the pair other than they are signed to Danceandlove. Their track Tintarella Di Luna (Paki & Jaro Remix) will certainly remind people of Yolanda Be Cool & Dcup's bomb 'We No Speak Americano'
I normally hate, with a passion, remixes of incredibly famous songs such as Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. But Ellrich & Plaice have created a remix/cover that I can't argue with. A Tech-House version that keeps in tune with the original and doesn't just ruin the song.
Christian Luke from Melbourne, Australia, in the last 4 years has remixed tracks for some of the worlds biggest artists. Such as, Dirty South, Carl Kennedy, StoneBridge, Kurd Maverick & many others. In 2008 his remix of Kurd Maverick's "Blue Monday" was stuck at the number 1 position of the charts for 8 weeks, also being played on Pete Tongs show on Radio 1. Here we have a new mix from him; Kanye West featuring Pusha T - RUNAWAY (Christian Luke ReVibe) a very nice house track, sounding familiar to the works of The Lindbergh Palace.
Before I bombard you some great previews of tracks expecting release in 2011 I have found this superb track from budding producer Conner Youngblood from Dallas, Texas. His track Monsters really is fantastic, I really can't stop hyping about it. Conner throws in a mix of Dubstep, his own vocals and what must be a banjo of all things. I like to call it Banjostep, maybe the start of a whole new genre haha.
Albin Myers, one of Swedens superstar DJ's has remixed an awesome version of Oskar Linnros' track Genom Eld. A fusion of vocals, house, and bouncy bass.
Next we have Belgian producer Basto!. New track called Gregory's Theme which was played on Pete Tong's 3/12/10 show. This will be a house bomb, piano, synths and all out awesomeness.
Pryda aka Eric Prydz called Illusions. Pryda has been very busy the last couple of months creating some, sure to be, amazing tracks for 2011. Illusions certainly is one of them. First heard on the Pete Tong show the other week.
Finally we have a track which has been released today, Jordy Lishious - Radiator (Funkagenda & Jordy Lishious Re-Edit) a tech-house/progressive house. This certainly has a run-in for one of the top 10's of 2010, will be on my top 10 list.
Just a quick one! Chris Montana & Dave Ramone have done an excellent remix of Casanovy - I Need your lovin'. Progressive House with uplifting vocal elements, another 5 star track that is in my top for this month.
Imagine if Breaks, Dubstep & Dream House had a 3-way lovechild, Subvader would be the result. Subvader aka Peter Wiley, 19 year old sociology student from Ann Arbor Michigan. Subvader started messing about with music software at 13, and more recently getting into the electronic scene. Using Logic, Korg Radius and various retro keyboards. Getting his first signed track last year, more recently he has just finished his killer remix of Kavinsky - Nightcall. Nightcall (Subvader Remix) by Subvader
Subvader has a small but strong collection of tracks so far, and hopefully soon will be seen on the new Crunk Kidz remix EP, with his remix of "loserkid". So much more to come from this aspiring producer. Ghost Ship by Subvader Arctica by Subvader Please support Subvader in buying "Y'all Can't Handle Me" on Beatport. Y'all Can't Handle Me by Subvader
This is the first time I have seen a remix from the Call Of Duty series, which is actually quite suprising. What's more suprising is that it isn't all that bad. By an unknown producer called Dimitry G. Call Of Duty MW2 - Extraction Point (Dimitry G. Remix). Available for download from Tunescoop.
The South London Dubstep warrior has struck again. Benga one of the first dubstep producers, from Croydon UK, when the scene emerged in the early 2000's released his debut "Skank" in 2002. Sincen then he has been an important element in the evolution of dubstep, by combining the raw South London dubstep sound with the newer East London grime sound. Here he remixes London rapper Example's track Dirty Face.
Benga will be playing at Barhouse in Chelmsford Essex,UK on the 3rd of July.
This first track is by Illitheas and it's called Waiting (Ciro Visone Remix). Illitheas a young DJ only in his early 20's from Germany already had an amazing song called Waiting, but since Italian DJ Ciro Visone produced this remix it should become an anthem.
Next we have Luca De Maas - Libra (DJ Gard Remix), this remix really is proper Euphoric Trance, that any REAL Trance fan would recognise 5 stars from me. DJ Gard, from Australia, hasn't been on the scene that long, but has already racked up a serious of awesome tracks and remixes, available from Beatport
Next Maarten De Jong - Anti-Flu (MDJ Remix), a mix between Progressive and Tech-Trance, Anti-Flu (MDJ Remix) certainly won't disappoint. The MDJ & Generix Remix have both been getting huge support from the world's top DJs including Ferry Corsten, Jochen Miller, Paul Van Dyk, Matt Darey & many more. Already available on Beatport Anti-Flu (MDJ) is a must have for anyone getting in the festival mood.
Lastly we have a track from upcoming producer Tom Fall called Lotus, released last week. Lotus is a smooth but very energetic track. Now is it just me or does the very beginning of the track sound just like the beginning to Kool De Sac's (Aka Drew Todd) song Let It Go (Epic Club Remix). Hmmm... what do you think? Tom Fall - Lotus (Original Mix) by TomFall
Diddy Dirty Money is Diddy's, P Diddy or whatever he calls himself these days, new track. To be really honest I don't like commercial club that much at all. But on a rare occasion they will be a remix of a song that I will take a second glance at, and Logan de Gaulle's remix of Hello, Good Morning is one of these.
TheGirlsCanHearUs! the Electro/Rap boys from London ON, Canada. Have just done a cover of the classic Beastie Boys track Girls If you like TGCHU! you will love the track, and if you like Beastie Boys you will also love the track.
First this evening we have Yves Murasca feat. Ezzy Safaris - Saxophobic Satisfaction (2010 Club Mix) this is a great summery song, with great sounds from the sax. Ever since the 2008 remake of Infinity by Guru Josh Project the sax has been in many house tunes, and this being one of the better ones.
Next we have Don't Panic - Beat Blogs (Fast Foot & Nikita Carpicorn Remix), this is much more of an Electro-Tech track. If you like your electro heavy & hard this is for you.
Another Electro-Tech track, this time with DJ Antention - Movin' Volatiles (Original Mix). Antention is known for his heavy beats, and this track will please any avid fan.
Next comes a collaboration from Mustard Pimp & Hot Pink Delorian with Rock,a seriously awesome Electro-Thrash track this certainly will get anyone raving!
This next song already has 10 remixes, with this being one of the better ones. Paul & Luke - Fuck The Police (Paolo Ortelli vs Degree Handcuffs Mix)this amazing track has a fusion of Fidget, Dirty Electro & Progressive beats. Certainly in my top 5 for the month.
IKKI brings us another amazing track, The Subs vs Party Harders - Pope Of Dope (IKKI Remix) French vocals with Dirty Electro beats = SICK TUNE! Download available by clicking the link. The subs vs PartyHarders Pope of Dope IKKI remix by ikki
After three years Underworld have released a new track collaborating with Drum & Bass producer High Contrast, to bring us Scribble. Underworld marked a time with their 1996 smash Born Slippy .NUXX from the Danny Boyle classic Trainspotting. Scribble is fresh, exciting and certainly will be another summer tune.
The World Cup is now here, not normally a football guy but you just have to be on the World Cup. If you haven't already get yourself a team on Sky Sports Fantasy League, go create one. Even if you know nothing about football, like myself :).
This track was released on beatport on May 15th, it is of course Gary Caos vs Double Exposure - My Love Is Free 2010 (Lazy Rich Remix). The track mixes Funky/Sexy House with disco/soul. This is a real party starter, and will be a crowd pleaser. Please support the artist and buy from iTunes UK for only £0.79
Here are some new trance tracks for the summer, firstly we have System F - Indian Summer, this track may remind you of Mauro Picotto's older work like Proximus or Oasis
Next comes 4 Strings feat. Samantha Fox - Forever (Other Mix), I don't normally go for Vocal Trance, but this track really is something for the summer. Uplifting and progressive, great for the closing of any summer party!
Finally we have Sean Murphy - Winter Sunrise (Sean Truby Remix), this is a real anthem. Gives you that proper trance feel, close your eyes and just imagine. Whatever you think of I'm sure it's just as beautiful as this track.
Nice track by Edwin Oosterwal, in the realms of Tech-House and Nu Jazz. This track has been around for about a month now, but it's just so good. Some may recognise the beat from Michael Zager Band - Let's All Chant
